We are very pleased to announce the purchase of the new 2017 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 419 sailboat that will used for day sailing charters, and for sailboat racing.  The Jeanneau dealer in St. Clair Shores, MI, Bob Reed's St. Clair Sailing Center, will deliver the boat in February and will commission the boat here in Holland as soon as the winter weather breaks.

The Sun Odyssey 4199 represents the perfect balance of ingredients that have made the Sun Odyssey range a success. The performance-oriented hull comes from the drawing boards of Phillipe Briand, the internationally famous designer of highly competitive racing boats and luxury sailboats.

.  Special attention was given to the ease of sail handling, the ergonomics and the modern aesthetics.

Nancy Anne Sailing Charters' customers have enjoyed the 2013 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 379 for the last four years on numerous day sails on Lake Michigan.  With the new 2017Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 419, we will be able to offer more performance, a larger cockpit, and more amenities.

The new boat has been custom designed for Nancy Anne Sailing Charters and provides many new features to make the sailing easier and more comfortable.  These features include twin helms, which are great for the informal sailing lessons we offer; a large comfortable cockpit with a table for snacks and liquid refreshments, a Raymarine chart plotter/radar display at the rear of the table that displays our speed, position, and the positions of other boats in our immediate area.  There is a hot/cold water shower at the stern swim platform, an autopilot that will keep the boat on course if other duties call the helmsman away, a stereo system with an iPod/iPhone dock, three cabins, two full size bathrooms, and while in port, an air-conditioned salon with a flat screen TV, and a full galley.

Performance wise, the Marc Lombard designed hull promises competitive speeds.  We have ordered the high performance Mylar sails including a high aspect mainsail, a 132% genoa, and a Code 0 headsail for light air and downwind sailing.
